 July Greetings from
The Mitguards

First, our apologies to anyone who has unsubscribed to our email list and is still receiving emails.  Please, send us an email at themitguards@themitguards.com to unsubscribe again.

Our hard drive crashed in April and we have been rebuilding our email list from old lists and various scraps of paper.  Unfortunately, we did not keep a separate list of the unsubscribed.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

July is a busy month for us. 
First, we’re off to Mount Rushmore in Keystone, South Dakota to play as part of the holiday celebration on July 3 and 4th. 
From there it’s off to Hot Springs, SD to play an outdoor concert on July 8 at the newly opened Kidney Springs Bandstand.
We haven’t played in Hot Springs in a couple of years and are really looking forward to bringing lots of new music to our friends in South Dakota. 
From there you can catch us at Hillside Gardens in Colorado Springs on July 16. Then we’ll be heading to Casper, WY to play at the Beartrap Summer Music Festival the weekend of July 19 -20.
Next we’re off to Canon City, CO to play at Fiddlers Along The Arkansas on July 26.
We’ll be wrapping up the month in Manitou Springs, CO on July 29 as part of the Manitou Library Summer Concert Series and will then be heading down to the Cowgirl Hall of Fame in Santa Fe, NM to play on July 30 and at Eske’s Brew Pub in Taos, NM on Aug. 1.

We’re really excited to announce the addition of Brian Hofflander on upright bass to many of our upcoming shows.  You may know Brian from the Miles Street Jazz Band as he’s been adding his smooth touch to their sound for several years.  We appreciate Brian’s willingness to perform with us, as well, as he adds amazing texture and musical expertise to The Mitguard sound.

This month, Brian will be joining us at Hillside Gardens and at the Beartrap Summer Music Festival.  Please take a minute to welcome him to the mix if you catch him at one of our shows.

We hope to get to see many of you this month as we travel through the region.

We are happy to announce that we have sold out of our CD, Nobody’s Fool. Thanks to those of you out there who bought up our entire inventory.  We are very proud of this CD and appreciate your support.  We do not intend to do a second pressing of Nobody’s Fool but will keep it available for downloading.  If you would like to purchase the entire album as one zip download, which includes the MP3s, a JPG of the album art, and a text file of song titles and album notes, go to CD Baby.
