Man With A Mission
If anyone cares to listen I’m a man with a
mission To save myself from my past I betrayed so many friends I lied
and stole from them Now I pray my die ain’t cast
Chorus: I had a
pretty wife and a sweet baby girl But I was
addicted to some stuff. I ended up in jail in a
place so dank and stale Now I finally believe I’ve had
enough
I spent all our money On everything but the rent ‘Till
finally we had to leave. My wife took our baby Back to her mother’s
home And I lived out there on the streets.
Chorus
Now I’m getting clean And it makes a poor boy
mean But you know I need to change. Or I’ll die a junkie’s death So I
pray with all my breath “Oh, Lord, won’t you save me from these
chains?”
Chorus I ended up in jail in a
place so dank and stale Now I finally believe I’ve had
enough |
